It's a 10x10 board which, of course, is no good for chess or the normal form of draughts (checkers) played in this country, which are played on boards of 8x8 squares. However, games with 10x10 boards are by no means unknown. Polish draughts/checkers is played on just such a board and is popular in some European countries, e.g. France. There are also chess variants designed for the 10x10 board.
